Working with HTML is hard.

I've been fiddling with this website as a side project out of my school stuff and I'm enjoying it! but one thing that is bugging me is how I can't seem to add background images for whatever reason, It just won't work! I've tried everything, from typing in the name of it in the folder to putting the direct link to it directly, and still nothing! So moral of the story is HTML (or more of just coding in general) is hard.
